Hello,
**THIS IS FOR OUR EUROPEAN MAIL ORDER CUSTOMERS ONLY**
Beginning on July 1, 2026, a new EU customs duty now applies to parcels valued under €150 entering the EU from outside the region (
see EU guidance).
How the fee works
The EU charges a flat €3 fee per type of item in a parcel. This applies to physical goods only.
If you order one record/t-shirt/CD etc then you will only be charged £3, if you order an more than one item of the same format (3 LP’s / 1 7” for example) it’s still €3
EXAMPLE PACKAGE CUSTOMS DUTY APPLIED
5 LP’s and 1 7” Single €3 (1 item type)
1 T-shirt and 1CD €6 (2 item types)
1 tape and 4 LPs €6 (2 item types)
2 LP’s and 1 CD and 1 T-shirt €9 (3 item types)
Shipping to the EU
At the moment and until Shopify finds a workaround solution we are having to pay to the extra customs duty through our carrier (Royal Mail). To cover this charge, we've added a flat £3 rate onto the shipping costs for packages into EU countries. We're hoping at some point to have the charge integrated at point of sale.
Please bear in mind that most of our Vinyl & CD's are also available via mail order companies in the EU which might help minimize shipping costs - Soundflat, Flight 13 etc.
Sorry for this news, yet again we seem to be suffering from new regulations aimed more at cheap imports from the US, China etc than they are at us. But this is where we are!
Thanks
Ian & Duncan
