Hello,
First off we'd like to say 'THANKS FOR YOUR PATIENCE' over BOXSETGATE!
The shop seems to be working fine now and there is a big update to it which should make ordering easier in the future.
We've pretty much shipped all the orders now, or will have by the end of the week, it's been a lot of work but we hope you'll like them when you get them, it's a lovely set.
If you're in Europe then it's unfortunately it's still going on, we've had a whole lot of orders turned back by customs via our shipper DPD, the paperwork is right but DPD have just decided to stop going to Europe by truck for the foreseeable future, as soon as we get the parcels returned we will ship them back out with a better courier.
It looks like BR*x*t is going to be a problem for the next few months at least, getting records in from Europe and then back to Europe is tough but we hope it should sort itself out soon...as I'm sure you guessed we did not vote for it!
So what's coming out next, we hear you ask...well, it's more from the WILLIAM LOVEDAY INTENTION, the lockdown meant that Mr Childish had a lot of time to record and we're now seeing the fruits of his and Ranscombe studios labour.
We're going to ship these final two albums on the same day, the 22nd of January, the last album was due for February but it seems like it's a good idea to do them together, and will save people postage and a load of mailers, pre-sale will be from next Monday, don't rush, there are plenty.
Then in February, we have the CD version of 'THE DEPT. OF DISCONTINUED LINES' box set, this is four CD's and a booklet, all wrapped in a nice 'clamshell' box, pre-sale for this will be on the first of February, the release date is the 19th February.
Looking ahead to the following few months we have a new double A-side single from THE LURKERS in March called 'THE BOYS IN THE CORNER' which is taken from the 'SEX CRAZY' album which was released last year, it's backed with a brand new exclusive track and comes in a sleeve the might trigger a few memories for older Lurkers fans.
And following that...we have a brand new single from THE COURETTES, a DALEKS compilation (that's the old punk band, not those pesky aliens from skaro), a single from a great Italian band called THE MANGES which has a nice GIUDA connection, a new single and album from THE SHADRACKS and of course more from Mr Childish and CTMF.
Oh and the HEAVENLY album is being repressed and will be back in stock soon...as will the SENSIBLE GRAY CELLS album too.
Have a lovely Wednesday
IAN & DUNCAN
