Hello folks!

We've had our Crunchies and have definitely got that Friday feeling! And there's some decent weather at last. As they used to say back in the day - "The weekend starts here!"

But before we head off to the nearest beer garden here's a quick heads up on a couple of gigs, some recent releases you may have missed and a few odds, sods and rarities we've found lurking in the office corners that we've put up for sale on our Ebay shop. Read on!

Ludella Black & The Masonics play Madrid (May 31st)

Anyone lucky enough to be in Madrid next Thursday will be able to go see Ludella along with The Masonics at Rock Palace. If you're there Tweet or Facebook some photos please so we can see what we're missing out on. If you missed Ludella's latest album "From This Witness Stand" fear ye not! It's still available from our online shop, just click on the pic to buy on CD, LP or digital download.

 

Piney Gir - gigs galore!

Ever busy Piney Gir is ..er.. ever busy with a string of gigs in the UK as well as some US dates. Here's the list in full -

30th May -  Stripped down Piney show at Paper Dress

Piney’s friend Gemma Ray is celebrating her album launch at Paper Dress Vintage so Piney and three of her boys will be doing a little support slot to celebrate.

4th June - Shoreditch Jubilee Festival

Piney plays the lovely Bar Music Hall to honour the queen, of course!

17th June - Grand Ole Echo, Los Angeles

Piney and her band rock up to the Grand Ole Echo in LA for a bit of fun in the sun… yeah!

26th June - The Mint, Los Angeles

Piney and friends play The Mint in L.A. Good times!

27th June - Hotel Cafe, Los Angeles

That’s right Piney and band are headed out to LA for another gig at the Hotel Cafe. Good times!

13th July - Larmer Tree Festival

Larmer Tree is a beautiful festival in a beautiful setting read all about it here

17th July - Word Magazine Gig at the Lexington

The uber-cool Word Magazine put on gigs from time to time and we are delighted to on the bill along with David Ford at The Lexington on July 17th

11th August - Special Underwater Gig at Duckie

You CAN believe it, Piney and her band are doing a gig UNDERWATER at Duckie

 

Piney's latest download only single "Stay Sweet" is available from our online shop. It's taken from her fantastic Geronimo! album which is available on CD or download from the DG shop. Click on the pics to order.

 

Hangman Records plus some rare DG vinyl!

You may or may not be aware that we also have some singles on our online shop on Billy Childish's Hangman's Daughter label. These singles were pressed as limited editions of 500 copies each. Most have sold out but we have copies left featuring artists such as The Ken Ardley Playboys, The Guaranteed Ugly, Hellcats, The Singing Loins, Steve & The Jerks, Dan Melchior, Armitage Shanks and The Wildebeests. They're all in the "other labels" section of our shop along with plenty more goodies including CD's by The Milkshakes and much, much more. Have a good look round!

 

 

As part of our ongoing office and warehouse clearout, we've recently unearthed a few goodies you may be interested in which we've listed on our Ebay shop. More will follow as we get the time to list them but for now there's hard to find original Hangman Records copies of albums by The Singing Loins, The Dischords and Billy Childish & The Blackhands.

Also the last few vinyl copies of Helen Love's Radio Hits Vol 1 & 2, when they're gone they're gone!

With plenty more items listed on there be sure to have a good trawl round!
