Reviews:
Kent lad Billy Childish isn’t the sort to ponder over his art. He just gets on with it, producing records, paintings and books at an astonishing rate. This collaboration with wife and friends offers 10 tracks of non-synthetic blues, followed by 13 confessional poems. It’s a charming venture which explains the phenomenon of “blabbermouth” Childish through his rambling themes – Van Gogh, VD, his son Huddie – as well as providing some decent tunes. Much mellower stuff than his recent garage rock outings with the WWI-army clad Buff Medways.
